Immigration Societies. A comparative perspective on Austria and Taiwan

 

Call for papers

 

The bi-lateral Austria-Taiwan seminar is part of a research cooperation on immigration issues between National Chengchi University, Taiwan, and the University of Vienna.

The seminar is also designed as the starting point for further future exchange in the field of migration. The seminar intends to outline potential future areas of cooperation. Different institutes of National Chengchi University are involved and will be represented at the seminar, including political science, gender studies, social sciences, global development studies and management studies departments. The University of Vienna will show the broad approach of her Vienna Center for Taiwan Studies. Except University of Vienna researchers, other European partner universities of our institute will also participate. The seminar is also an opportunity to introduce the main research areas of the Vienna Center, namely aborigines studies, gender studies and law.

Paper proposals fitting into the scope of the seminar should be sent as an email to astrid.lipinsky@univie.ac.at before 10 June, 2011 and have to include:

  • name and affiliation of presenter

  • title

  • abstract of 500 words.
